Making VT Affordable for Vermonters

8th Generation Vermonter. 3rd Generation Business Owner Strengthening the Community.

Independent for Windham-3, Vermont – Helping give Vermonters a Voice.

Casey Cota was born in Bellows Falls VT and is a proud 8th generation Vermonter. He graduated from Ithaca College in NY State in 1993.  After graduation he returned to Rockingham VT to work with his parents at the family business driving trucks, running heavy equipment, and plumbing and burner service. In 1995 he bought Cota & Cota, the family business, with his brother and sister. He has helped guide and grow the business and strengthen the community over the last 29 years. His greatest joy and pride is his family with 3 adult children and wife Jaimi.

Casey is committed to the growth of the skilled trades industry. His father instilled in him early on the value of work in service to others. In 1999 he helped build an HVAC Classroom and hands on facility in Bellows Falls VT to teach and train the plumbing and heating trades.  Over 25 years his business has trained several hundred students. Since 2019 Casey has awarded the Hugh Cota Technical Scholarship to several high school graduates.

Casey has always believed supporting our youth builds a strong and resilient community. He started the youth flag football program, junior high football, youth football camp, AAU basketball team, and lead the reconstruction of the Bellows Falls Little League Field. He was on the VT Academy board for 10 years. His true passion through the years has been leadership and mentorship on and off the field with youth teams and business apprenticeships. Building a strong work ethic helps young adults become good citizens for their communities.

Casey wants to keep VT affordable for families so they can enjoy this beautiful state for many generations to come. For this to be possible he plans to emphasize the importance of affordable housing, jobs and apprenticeships, and supporting small businesses. These things are all integral parts of supporting every age of Vermonters from youth through retirement. Keeping VT affordable will help keep families here, builds the local workforce, and affords them time to be part of their community. Cota 4 VT will be a voice for Vermonters.
